Composers of all periods have been fascinated by the powerful contrasting emotions produced by the themes of love and war. Come along with us as we explore the extent of these contrasts as they rub shoulders in this concert; they will reveal some of the deepest secrets of the human soul.

Which of these two emotions will carry the day – in the hearts and souls of the listeners? It’s up to you to choose…

Vocal works from the 8th book of C. Monteverdi, a composition by Matthias Maute, as well as instrumental works by B. Marini.
